Hi, I’m Nick Miko. I don’t expect you to know who I am other than as the guy who live-streamed the Detroit City FC vs. Louisville City FC match on YouTube. I really wanted to stream it because I knew most people would not be able to attend the match. It was a big deal for our team, it was the first time we made it out of the first round of the US Open Cup.
The feedback I received about the quality of the stream blew me away. I had a really simple set up. By picking the right tools I was able to make it look awesome. After the match I decided to make a video to show people (other teams) how easy and affordable it was to do.
Hello faithful readers! I had the tremendous pleasure of interviewing one the founding members of AFC Mobile Wanderers, a group working to bring a soccer team to the heart of the south in Mobile, Alabama, back in October, and I’m excited to re-release it here on NonLeague America. Mitchell Kahalley was very open with his answers and the goals of this group, and talks about everything from the city of Mobile itself to the local college scene. Check it out. Read more →
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is John Pannebaker, and I run a soccer blog called American Pyramid. I interview owners of teams in the lower levels of the American Soccer Pyramid, and am going to be providing Non League America with extra content to help put more eyeballs on what takes place at the bottom of the soccer universe.
To give you a little bit of background on this interview, which I did in October 2015. I first encountered Tim Singleton through sheer accident. As an active member of BigSoccer Forum under the pseudonym ‘SportingReal,’ I heard about a man trying to start a team in Fargo and getting pretty badly reamed online. I reached out to him, originally offering to help him with some web design.
While that didn’t work out long term, we’ve kept in touch off and on ever since, and he graciously agreed to be my first interview I ever did at American Pyramid. Enjoy!
